GO50 Privacy Policy

GO50 ("GO50", "we", "us") helps adults find situation-based cost-sharing living arrangements. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. GO50 is intended only for people 18 and older.

Information we collect

Account: email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Profile: name, age, gender, contact phone number, budget, housing situation and preferences, lifestyle answers, education, and other details you choose to add.
Photos & videos you upload to your profile.
Approximate location (with your permission) to show cost-sharing situations and deals near you.
Usage & matches: the situations you view, deals ("Go 50") you propose, and matching signals used to rank compatibility.
Subscription status from the app store (we do not receive your full payment card details).

How we use it

To create and operate your account and profile.
To match you with compatible situations near you and rank results.
To generate short "why you fit" summaries (using an AI provider) when enabled.
To reveal a matched user's phone number on a deal only to active subscribers.
To process subscriptions and provide customer support.

Location

We request location only while you use the app and only to find and map situations near you. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the app remains usable, but nearby results and the map may be limited.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who operate the app on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and media storage), Neon (database), Mapbox (maps), RevenueCat and Apple/Google (subscriptions and payments), and an AI provider for match summaries. Your profile details are shown to other users as part of the matching experience; your phone number is shared only after a mutual deal and only with active subscribers.

Retention & your rights

We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit your profile at any time, and you can delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, photos, videos, deals, and preferences.

Security

Passwords are hashed, media is stored in access-controlled storage, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

GO50 is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version.
